Given that it is a Grateful Dead channel, isn't every week Jerry week to a degree?

Bamski's Right

Yes, but Jerry Week has 9 days.

Maybe it has something to do with the 7/29 merger of Sirus Radio and XM Radio?

More days, more money!

Who gives a shit?

The music is amazing and its on a constant loop. Sirius dead channel is absolutely great and I strongly reccomend a subscription to those who don't have one. Happy B-Day Jerry!

reedchris is right, too

I became a lifetime member of Sirius Satellite Radio 3 days before the Grateful Dead Channel went on the air. My receiver is set on channel 32 and very seldom do I change it.

My suggestion is if are not a member of Sirius, join before the fall when the new pricing structures will go into effect.

Happy Birthday Jerry !!!

Peace and love on this special day in history...maybe one day it could be a national holiday.

Jerry Week

the phrase may have originated with Patti Smith, whose essay on the subject is a true don't-miss.

Merger???

What the merger took place? I wasn't notifried. I'm mortified...
(~~~Happy Birthday, Jerry...~~~)

but I think the FCC signed off on it. I defer to the more clued.

How 'bout a new JERRY release?

avatar

Since the Dead have flooded the market with new (and upcoming) 'official' releases, I wonder what gives with the much-heralded 'Jerry Vault'? Is there some kind of legal battle going on that is blocking potential Jerry releases? I know that the Jerry catalog isn't a part of dead.net or GDP, but what's the deal? What happened with 'Pure Jerry'? It was great while it lasted. Anyone know anything about this?

Mo' Jerry, mo' Jerry, mo' Jerry!

Yeah, more Jerry! The "Pure Jerry" series is great, but "The Jerry Garcia Collection" seems to have petered out with Volume One - The Legion of Mary, three years ago. I thought that the "collection" was going to be an ongoing series. What's up with that?
